oopsie- I forgot the pictures!

This was from my birthday...

allright, allright, gosh. I'll blog already!

I've decided Hazelnut creamer is okay, not my favorite but I'll take it over Irish Cream any day.

Work is a little slow today, so I've decided to update everyone on NYC happenings. Just FYI, moving the pictures down into the right paragraphs is quite irritating. So I'm leaving them all at the top, deal with it. :)

After Baylor's fall break weekend, a week of work and school drug along while I was waiting on....JOHANNA to come! Hooray!

I met her after work at her hotel (which was SO classy!) It was just a couple of avenues away from a little restaurant row where we decided to find some supper. On the way we came upon a film set for a new movie starring The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson! A cute little diner provided us with grilled chicken sandwiches and salty fries. Johanna was (verrrrry) tired from traveling all day and being kinda sick, so we went back to her hotel. On Friday, Johanna went to a camera conference (hahaha!) and met me for lunch at Digby's. That night, we traveled back to Brooklyn and ate with the group at a Mexican food restaurant... haven't found real Tex-Mex. I decided to go back to Manhattan with Jo and we got cupcakes from Magnolia and watched a movie!

We awoke Saturday morning to the sound of rain...nice when you want to spend all day inside. Not nice when you want to explore! Ugh. Not to be deterred though, we got up and traveled down to Battery Park and the Financial District, one of my favorite places. We hopped off the train at Chambers and walked down to the water. After a little while, the hunger hit. We found an adorable place for brunch in a cobble stone restaurant area. I had a delicious omelette, and Johanna, who could never ever be successful vegetarian, enjoyed a burger. We decided to go over the World Trade Center next and powered through the rain down Wall Street. The workers were still out building in the rain! Crazy. We went in the (hectic, scary, tourist ridden) Century 21 and were immediately stressed out and left. Haha, sorry Jessica (Johanna's sister), you don't get a NYC present.

We hopped back on the subway and traveled up to 42nd street-Bryant park. We got off and shopped up and down 5th avenue. I found postcards that were only $1 for 18!! (They should be in your mailboxes by now, y'all!) I really (REALLY) wanted to go to the Fall Pumpkin Festival in Central Park that afternoon and Johanna gamely agreed. (Thanks Johannaaaa!) We were pretty wet, but by the time it was over, we were soaked. Anyways, we picked out our pumpkin, well, actually they were pretty picked over by the time we got there so mine was a sad pumpkin. Somehow Johanna found a perfect one and was going to let a little kid have it. WHAT! NO WAY! I made her give it to me (its now decorated with sunglasses and a crooked smile on top of our TV in the dorm room). The festival was fun, filled with fall treats, contests, radio Disney, and musical guests. We were probably (ok, definitely) a little too old, but it was fun!

Next, we cleaned up and put on our fancy smancys and went took a taxi to dinner! Johanna treated me to a birthday dinner at the most fabulous restaurant I've been to so far. STK, located in the meatpacking district, was delicious. The hip, fast paced vibe was full of young friends enjoying a Saturday night. Johanna had steak (of course) and I had chicken (of course). We shared a side of asparagus and Parmesan french fries then each got a different dessert. The whole meal was scrumptious. THANK YOU JOHANNA!

I said goodbye to Johanna Saturday night (she left early Sunday morning) and took a taxi back to Brooklyn. I noticed there wasn't a credit card machine in the back and asked the driver if he took cards. He mumbled something about sometimes it works sometimes not and asked how much cash I had. As usual, it was only about $10. We traveled along and all of a sudden he pulls over on the side in front of an ATM. "Here you go," he mumbled to me. So, what do I do? I gathered my stuff, got out and withdrew some cash. Thank you? It was strange to say the least. We finally got out of Manhattan and went over the bridge into Brooklyn. You really can't beat the views from the bridge.

Sunday afternoon Alex, Erika and I decided to see a show. After trying to get student rush tickets to 39 Steps and West Side Story, we finally had luck with Mamma Mia! For $31 dollars we had a wonderful view from the balcony! Before the show we sat outside enjoying the beautiful sunshine (yeah, it came out...AFTER Johanna left.) There's something special about Sunday afternoon sun, no matter where you are. Mamma Mia! was lots of fun and I've been listening to my ABBA tracks every morning on the Subway since then (What are your favorite ABBA songs? I can't have just one...Super Trouper, Take A Chance On Me, and Does Your Mother Know are mine).

Annnnnnd the weekend ends...

But another one comes! And this one was HALLOWEEN! SPOOKITY BOO!

Halloween in NYC is something else, the LOVE it. A lady at work took off early on Friday to get ready for her parties, yeah, partieS! All of the restaurants decorate too. Friday night we had dinner at the diner across the street, its lovely, and then walked down to Red Mango for frozen yogurt. Saturday morning Alex and I traveled to Grand Army Plaza to work on our papers (due Monday morning at 8 a.m.!) at the Brooklyn Public Library, another one of my favorite places. After a few hours of work, we walked around Prospect Park in search of some nourishment. We realized that kids in NYC can't really trick or treat in neighborhoods, so what do the do? Go to the businesses! It was cute to see all the little costumes and local shops passing out candy. We ate at a quaint bistro called Sweet Melissa's. (Mom, Lauren, Lisa, Kim, Liz: get your sweet tooth ready, we're going back for some sundaes!)

Once back in Brooklyn Heights, it was time to get ready for Halloween. I was a green bean and Alex was Velma from Scooby Doo. Other costumes in our group: A ballerina, hipster, Max from Where the Wild Things Are, Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Batman, Ugly Betty, Amy Winehouse, and others. We traveled to Greenwich Village Halloween Parade! And guess what, it rained! We still had fun, though, and saw some (extreme) creative costumes. We went back to Brooklyn where Velma (Alex) and the green bean (me) challenged Ray LaMotta and Billy Mays to a game of bocce ball, we won!

Sunday was basically spent finishing our paper that was due this morning. We did enjoy some (fattening) Five Guys Burgers and Fries for dinner, though. yummmmmmmm greeaseeee.

I MISS YOU! call.text.write.FB.skype. with me!

Get your gloves out! No, not to punch the guy that squeezed out of the subway before you...

The weekend finally brought in the (dreaded) cold weather! On Friday I could even see my breath (which is one of my favorite things about cold weather)! Luckily my mom sent me all my hats/scarves/gloves/long johns last week, so I'm prepared.
This blog is either going to be really short or really long. It depends on how much I can remember from the past two weeks. And, the blog is dedicated to Morgan Gooch, who asked for an update! :) Come visit!
The first weekend of October (can you believe its already mid-October?!?!?!), Saturday the 3rd I guess, I went to a performance art show called "store" by Matsune + Subal. IT WAS SO FUN! I had no idea art could make you lol (laugh out loud, for you old folk). When you walked into the stark, empty white room the host handed you a menu, much like being at a restaurant. The artists were there to explain the pieces; there was art to consume on the spot, take home, or have mailed. I bought a Marilyn Monroe and James Dean copy. One of the guys would get up on the platform and imitate the person, it got kind of awkward when they stared right at me, since I was the purchaser. Another person bought something called Trusted since 1542 (or something like that) and we were taken down to the basement where they had physical pieces of art, like paintings and sculptures. The girl ended up buying a pencil drawing of Matsune and Subal in a teepee with the "store" logo on it and the date 1492. "See," said Subal, "Aren't you glad you're doing business with people that have been around forever." The most interactive purchase someone made was titled "Big Bang Reconstructed." With two rolls of masking tape, the artists spread everyone throughout the room and proceeded to run around as fast as they could while placing tape up, down, around, in between and behind people. Once everyone was connected, even the mirror on the can sitting outside the entrance, they started deconstructing the tape. Every few strands or so, they would ball it up and place it somewhere. I had a wad sitting on my shoulder. These "mini-bangs" were then combined in the center of the room with the artists pushing them all together and shaking as if it was full of force. All of a sudden, they flung themselves and the giant wad of tape against the window, bowed and walked to the back of the room. It was great! The best part was that what one person bought, everyone enjoyed. Some pictures:

I finally had some visitors!!!! On Sunday, Aunt Laurie and Sara came to visit. I spent the day being a tourist with them and it was a blast. We started with brunch then headed to 5th avenue to do some shopping. I can't believe Sara is in 9th grade and shopping at the same types of stores I do! Crazy! After a couple of stops we headed to Jersey Boys. It made it to my number 2/3 spot for favorite Broadway shows! (dad, if you had majored in theater, I think this would have been your starring role). After the show we ventured into the Times Square Toys 'R' Us and Sara and I rode the Ferris wheel. We were lucky and rode in Barbies convertible!!! Next, we traveled into Brooklyn so they could see the promenade and where I live. We had a pretty good dinner at the Heights Cafe and walked back to the subway. It was so nice to see some family!

Then I had a week of school/work.

The next weekend was maybe one of my favorites so far! After spending all day Saturday working on a paper, Alex, Maryssa, and I went to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens on Sunday afternoon (no, I did not forget the -al. It is just botanic). It is absolutely gorgeous. We walked around and saw a wedding reception, multiple fountains and a rose garden. We even laid down in the grass and starred at the sky. The air was so crisp and cool but the sun was shining bright to keep you warm. We even took our shoes off and walked through the grass. Getting back in touch with nature, without buildings or noise or smokers, was a much needed rejuvenation.

Annnnnnnnd, another week of work/school. Although, I got to meet Kaley Cuoco from "The Big Bang Theory!"

Except: Wednesday was my birthday. Yuck. I absolutely detest getting old. BUT all the phone calls/texts/messages made it better. I did some shopping and bought a new pair of boots and some brown flats (flats are an absolute must around here). After class, the whole group got together and sang happy birthday to me and we had cake! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Especially to Alex and Rachel, who organized the whole thing. The cake was chocolate with mocha icing from Billy's Bakery, my favorite!

Fall break at Baylor gave New York an influx of Bears! I went on a movie tour, where you see film set sites, with my friend Elizabeth then went to a millinery shop with her and her sister. I'd never been to a real hat store and was quite impressed. Sunday morning I had breakfast with them at the Stardust Diner, where the waiters sing and dance as they try to make it to Broadway! It was fun and I'd like to go back (hint hint Lauren and Mom and Kim and Lisa and Liz). I spent a rainy Sunday reading, catching up on Glee and Grey's Anatomy, and oh yeah, taking a 3 hour nap!

Its Monday now and I'm at work trying to resist the extra large jar of old fashioned sourdough pretzels.

I hope you're having a happy day. I MISS YOU!

Procrastination at its best, but what a week to procrastinate about!

I have a test in 7 hours, that's PLENTY of time to blog and go to the writing workshop at work and eat a hot pocket. plenty.

Last night, while I was pouring over vocabulary words in a panic, Alex asked if I was happy. Stressed was my short answer. This morning, though, I was simply happy. So, a little out of chronological order, I'm going describe this morning before I recount the past week.

I went to bed at 3 a.m. and woke up at 8 a.m. Normally, 5 hours of sleep is enough but I'm still groggy eyed when I wake up. Not today! I practically woke up singing and smiling like my mom. I hopped out of bed, danced to ashlee simpson with Alex while we dressed and ate a granola bar. After making the (lazy) decision to not work out, I figured a quick walk would do me well. I popped outside and it was a perfect! Cold enough to be wearing a long sleeve t-shirt but still have on shorts, just enough chill to make the tips of your fingers turn a little white. I listened to Third Eye Blind and turned right at the promenade instead of left. I got "lost" and ended up at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory (lucky I had just had that granola bar).

I decided to get a cup of coffee at the cute deli I see the little old men sitting outside of in the morning. From now on, I will buy my Wednesday morning java here. I filled my cup with little room for the amount of cream I prefer, but of course, I still tried to turn it that perfect shade of fall leaf brown. As I tightened the lid, I thought I was in the clear. Why is coffee always out to get me? A mini fountain of coffee proceeded to spew from that tiny hole they put on the tops of coffee lids. The man behind me was clearly agitated because I was not only blocking the sugar and cream, but spewing coffee all over the counter. (Don't worry, he stayed dry!)
I let him pay first and finished dabbing up what I could. I pulled out my dollars and guess what, my LARGE cup of coffee was ONLY $1.50 and the checker-outer was SO nice (I was still spilling at the register, haha). He smiled and waved me on. Can't wait to go back! And, for those of you that have walked with me to class while I was delicately trying to sip coffee and probably failing miserably, I followed your advice and left the lid close till I was in my room.

Next I separated my laundry. And I did it without having to call my mom (and asking Marlina what would happen to my t-shirts if darks were with whites). Monumental step, there y'all. (Mom: I also changed my sheets. I know your very, very happy). I've spent the rest of my morning blogging and generally wasting time.
Let's jump in the DeLorean and jet back to last Saturday. Vroom Vroom!

Morgan, David, Alex and I went to the east village to explore and take one of Alex's travel books' self-guiding walking tours. We traveled to Washington Square and enjoyed some coffee while we watched some student filmmakers, a sand artist and a 12-year-old strum his banjo. It was right where the kid in August Rush plays! Except, we found out later, this one's mom was sitting right behind him. Still, go banjo boy. We started walking again down around some residential area and found some historic foot wipers, a pretty door, a sweet sign (that's now my phone background), a go-green food truck, the cherry lane theater and some nice tattoo artists. Every time we visit a new burrough I find a new favorite place to live. By the way, you can send me a nice donation for the help Molly move to New York trust fund, if you like.

Here's the strangest/greatest thing that's happened so far though: we ran into Lauren Micek, out Theta pledge trainer from freshman year! CRAZZZZZY! Luckily Alex and Morgan saw her (David and I were being the subway scouts). We're planning on having dinner soon. What a blast from the past.

The next I went to Battery Park with my friend, and possibly the best firefly catcher I've met, Dustin. We walked and walked and finally decided to take a break in a little fountain area with red begonias. and....WE SAW FIREFLIES! If you don't know already, fireflies are my favorite bug (am I really saying favorite and bug in the same sentence?)!!! We caught one and I took a picture of him. I wish I had a jar to bring them back and light up our room, but they probably need to help repopulate New York with fireflies.

(its now midnight, back from class and no more procrastination)

The next day at work, as DuJuan and I clicked through entertainment news articles, one of the publicists stuck his head in the office and told us to be sure and hang tight around 1:30 p.m. because...dun dun dun...LL COOL J WAS COMING TO THE OFFICE! That is right. I knew immediately when he had arrived, his contagious laugh could be heard through the walls of the conference room walls. He was at the office to do satellite radio shows around the country. During one of his breaks DuJuan and I stuck our heads around the corner and Brett, the publicist, motioned for us to come over. We walked in the room and were introduced as the interns for the semester. He was so friendly! And tall! Kaitlyn, my boss, asked if we wanted a picture and LL said, "Yeah, lets take a picture!" AHH!

If that wasn't exciting enough I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in Battery Park at the CSI: New York set. Although they usually film in LA, twice a year the crew comes to NYC to get specific shots. I sat within arms reach of Gary Sinise and watched him eat his chicken noodle soup and caesar salad from Au Ban Pain, is that creepy? I was the official purse watcher while the publicists tried to coordinate between a few reporters there and the actors' publicists so they could get an interview.

At one point, the security guy (which has to be the most stressful job on set), asked the (common) onlookers to move back, out of the shot. I gathered the purses and started to move with the crowd when he tapped my shoulder and said, "Hey, aren't you with us?" US? "Uhm, yeah. I'm here with CBS," I replied. Secretly, I was feeling SO cool. Haha...

I did the same thing the next day but at Citifield and Flushing Meadows. The actors seemed very nice, especially Gary Sinise, who spent time with some veterans that were hanging out on set, and Melina Kanakaredes.

On Wednesday, my day off, I did some homework and the met Dustin in Central Park (just incase you're ever in the area and on East 60th, there's a (very) nice bathroom at Crate and Barrel). We walked north into the Children's area of the park because I wanted to see the dancing animals clock that played nursery rhymes every half hour. We walked up at 4:08 p.m. Ergh! Deciding to walk on and come back later, we stopped to watch the seals perform and kept going. We walked all the way to the Metropolitan Museum (that's on 80th!). Little did we know, we'd walked up to the beginnings of the red carpet for the UN dignitaries that were in NYC all week. We decided to wait it out and see the President. After vacuuming the red carpet (yes, every step it was on, too) and a couple of hours the politicians started to arrive! We watched and decided who was more important by the car they were in and the amount of security. It was around 8:30 p.m. (after I'd skipped half of class) that the police officer told us Obama had already come in another door. How dodgy! I made Dustin power walk back to the subway station and headed to class.

And the week keeps (getting better) going...

On Thursday, Alex invited me to go with her to the (best) Butter Lane Cupcake Bakery. It was so delicious we went back on Friday. :) Can't wait to take my visitors there!

On Saturday morning our class went to the Museum of Modern Art. Dr. Kickasola had a list of paintings and things for us to be sure and ponder about which made the experience a little less meaningful and a little more stressful. I'm going to have to go back and "think." After, we stayed to watch a screening of the best commercials of 2009. It was really fun, some made me laugh, and of course, there was one that made me cry. If you'd like links to those I don't mind e-mailing/messaging them to you.

Saturday night I finally found some live music! (Courtesy of Alex and Seventeen.com) We had free tickets to a CD release party for a punk band named Push Play. One of their opening acts was a girl power band called Care Bears on Fire. They were in 8th grade. That's guts! We (rocked out) had a lot of fun! Afterwards, much in need of some veggies, we grazed at Whole Foods and had Red Mango fro yo for dessert.
I had a didn't do squat Sunday, which was much needed. I caught up on rest and was ready to start the week on Monday. Not much has happened between Sunday and today, Wednesday, so you're all caught up!

I think this blog was a little neglected in the technical aspects. Please excuse my spelling mistakes! And, sorry for the lack of pictures, it was getting really annoying to move them to the right spot. If you have something you want to see a picture of, let me know!

I MISS YOU! Call/text/message/e-mail me!

It's been so long I can't remember anything...I'll scroll through my pictures

I've neglected the blogosphere for too long, lo siento mis amigos.

I've decided to start at September 9th, the day or day after I spilt the coffee. Dr. Kickasola took our group to see the movie "We Live in Public" at this chic theater that only plays (very) indie films. I would link to the trailer for the film, but I'm not sure how appropriate it would be! The film was based on an Internet guru named Josh Harris, hes apparently the fashionista of the WWW. It chronicled his life and especially a project called 'we live in public' that he filmed in NYC in 1999. His theory is that eventually, we will all have cameras everywhere and anywhere so that people can always see what we're doing. SIKE! The project was in an underground 'hotel' that he built and consisted of 100 pods for 100 of the most outlandish people he could find. They ate, drank and slept there for a month with cameras documenting their every move, even in the bathroom! It was sick but an extreme glance at the lack of privacy we have now. Interesting.

Friday night a few of us went to eat at this delicious restaurant called Crispo. Alex and I split spaghetti and, although it wasn't as good as my mom's homemade sauce, it was very tasty. The next night we went to a comedy club. The Upright Citizens Brigade and writers for 30 Rock and Conan O'Brien performed improv all for the low cost of $10 dollars. It got a hearty chuckle out of us. Afterwards we decided to head to the upper east side and say hello to some Baylor grads that one of the guys here knows. On the way, we passed the United States Postal Service building. It was beautiful! Here's a grainy picture that I tried to snap with my phone.

We ate at a "Mexican" food restaurant that night called Mustangs. It was okay, still not very authentic and the music was SOOOOO loud. I couldn't hear myself think and they wouldn't let us dance! Did you know that there's a no dancing law in NYC? Courtesy of Miss Alex Abdallah. "In free places," she adds. That was all for that night.

Sunday morning a few of us returned to Mosaic Manhattan for church. We were back in the auditorium and with a full band. Again, the people were really nice and the preacher is such a nerd! But I really enjoy it. That night we watched the VMAS! (#team taylor)

And hence, the week passed. I went to work, I went to school and ended up at the FREE FOOD TOUR! On Thursday night we went to a free food tour further into Brooklyn. (Thank you Alex's hipster co-worker for giving us Brokelyn.com) Over 40 different restaurants were passing out food and desserts! yummm. It was delicious and I definitely want to go back to those generous restaurateurs.(?)

Last night, most of us ventured to Queens (where they have above ground subways!) and cheered on the Mets of the great price of $9! It was a lot of fun and we made sure to make the experience as authentic as possible with hot dogs. I also indulged in some greaaaasy onion rings. YUM. We participated in the wave and sang along with the 7th inning stretch then subway'ed back to Brooklyn.

And there's the re-cap folks. I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday morning.

Moment of joy: I gave my free New York Mets hat to a 3-year-old boy on the subway named Jaelyn. He was precious and wouldn't take it off for anything.

I might not cry over spilt milk, but coffee? Always.

I have a dedication to make.

This blog post is for the poor man that I spilt coffee on. Actually, down all of his right side.

Last Tuesday, while Alex and I were getting lost on the way to class, I looped my right arm around the subway pole and held a 1/4 of the way full cup of coffee in my hand. With my left I pulled out a subway map (handy trick if you don't want people to get really really mad at you for bumping them...just let them think you're a tourist). Well, lo and behold, the train made a sudden jar. Tipsy turvy me let the coffee jump out of my hand, hit a womans shoulder, and pour over this man. I was MORTIFIED. He looked (up) at me and said, "Thanks, thanks a lot. You know, really thanks." I apologized profusely and tears started to come to my eyes. Luckily, the subway was slowing and we stopped. Stepping off he (in a much nicer, less sarcastic tone) said, "Just try and be more careful next time, okay?" YES SIR!

Oh, and someone handed the empty coffee cup back to me. Really?

So, again Mr. Subway Man with coffee stains on your red shirt and khaki pants, I'M SOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!!!

At least it was on the way home, right?

Click on my links y'all!

This just in: Alex Abdallah is an internet genius. Because of her, I can now blog about NEW YORK CITY!

The long awaited, extended vacation filled with work and school has finally arrived, and guess what. It's great!

I arrived about a week and half ago with my dad and Robin and we took a couple of days to tour the city. We explored Manhatten on Thursday after figuring out my route to work (which ended up being completely different from what I take now) and where my building is. Oh yeah, my dad got refused a tour of the building, even if "his daughter is interning at CBS and nervous about the first day of work." Thanks, dad.

That afternoon we walked around central park, ate hot dogs from a stand and talked to a bike tour guy name Alexi from Russia (please say that as rrrusha for the the full effect). Later that night we flew up to #17 Cherry Street, or, to visit Mary Poppins on Broadway! I would definitely recommend this musical, its in my top 5 now. The costumes were fantastic and Mary Poppins even flew out over the audience.

Friday was spent wearing the soles out on our shoes even more. We walked around the entire financial district and had lunch with one of Robin's friends from high school. She was really nice and took us to a great place to eat called SouthwestNewYork. Sorry Mom and Dad, but I think the thing I miss most is QUESO! ergh, need some tex-mex soooooon.

Finally, move-in day was upon us. I faintly recollected my last dorm move-in: late, hot, scared and teary. This move in: early, cool (did I mention the weather hasn't passed 80 since I arrived?), excited and definitely dry-eyed.

Alex and I have the coziest room, hands down. It's kinda nice to be back in a dorm where the "come knock on my door" atmosphere is welcomed! After moving everything in, my dad, Robin and I walked around my area. It's as if you're going to stumble upon Meg Ryan waiting for you on her brownstone steps (pictures soon, I promise). About two blocks down the street from me is the Brooklyn Promenade. It's a beautiful walkway next to the river where you have a perfect view of Manhatten, the Financial District and the Statue of Liberty. Any day I want I could walk and see the Statue of Liberty, CRAZY!

My favorite thing about our area is the ability to walk across the street and get a cup of coffee with the locals, buy some toothpaste or shop at Ann Taylor Loft. It's so different not having to decide to drive somewhere! (Number two thing I miss: the radio.)

We started school last Tuesday night. Our desks are covered in cool art, I'm so glad it's ok to doodle on the desk. Not that I actually doodle. I just like to color in the circles. Classes are going to be tough, lots of outside reading and writing, but challenge is good right? Dr. Kickasola is lots of fun and really relaxed.

Work is bleh. I'm jealous of everyone coming home with wonderful stories and all I can say is I facebooked and read perezhilton. I did have to take the "intern walk" to pick up some tapes. (Read: a mile there and mile back in heels resulting in blisters all over my feet, including the tops of my toes.) The people I work with are all really nice, though, and want to know what the desert in Texas is like.

Yesterday (saturday), Alex, David, Maryssa and I spent a lovely afternoon in central park. We bought authentic stand food and ate by the great lawn. We then explored around Strawberry Fields and Belvedere Castle (where Taylor Swift shot love story!!!) After laying in the grass and just relaxing we decided to head to the Shake Shack. OMG. DELLLLICIOUUUUS! I highly recommend the Shackburger and a custard.

Today we went to Mosaic Manhattan for church, walked around Ground Zero, ate lunch in the park by our dorm, worked on homework, went to see Adam (PLEASE GO SEE THIS MOVIE!), and came back to the dorm to watch another movie.

It's 2 a.m. and I'm finally finishing this blog. Sorry for any spelling mishaps and grammar mistakes. You understand right? Alex should be happy when she returns!

Moment of joy today: Seeing a father and son playing a game of afternoon catch in the park while I ate my $5.50 burrito (that's pretty cheap, y'all.)

Annnnd, if you're reading this, I probably miss you. So email/text/call/tweet/skype with me!
