Since the beginning of June I've been searching for an internship in NYC. As part of Baylor in New York, I have to find my own and I've applied to quite a few places with miminal response. I'm no stranger to stress, those of you that know me well have probably had to put up with my final exam stretch, not my nicest moments. But the job hunt stress is so different. There's something about having to send off you past 21 years to human resource directors that receive 50 resumes, just like mine (actually, way better), every day. Anyone that reads for a long period of time online, knows that your eyes dry up and brain goes dead after reading from a computer screen for over 30 minutes straight. I guess I just hope mine is read about 5 minutes in...right after the first cup wakeup fluids hit the veins, preferably steaming hot in a Starbuck's cup.
On another note, I'm watching "Little Miss Sunshine" with Kody right now. It's hilarious! Olive has so much spunk! She definitely showed all those little Bratz dolls how to get funky. It is a very poignant, however. and really just depressing. Oh, I captured and set a cricket free during the movie. Ugh, bugs.
Today's moment of joy: Giving a family a ride to Dr. Pepper floats. They were so nice and interested in Baylor, even if I tried to start the golf cart before they had their hands and feet inside! Haha, oops.
